Welcome To The River!

The River is a casual, contemporary, Christian church in Houston County. Our service is designed to communicate to you in a new and refreshing way that is joyful, upbeat, and exciting. If you are looking for an exciting, and engaging, and cutting edge style of church, The River delivers. The experience is somewhat like going to a rock show, so even if you've never been to church before, you'll feel comfortable at the River.

Engaging Formats

One of the things we strive to do is provide relevant and engaging content. This takes many forms in our church such as video, music, audio, lighting, graphic design, and messages on topics that impact your life in a practical, real way. Growth Groups are a way you can connect, meet people, and study a particular topic of your choice in a small group setting. Our children's ministry, called Go Fish, involves singing and dancing along to videos, and activities children enjoy. Children retain bible studies easily, and look forward to Sundays.

Welcoming Atmosphere

When you visit The River, you'll be greeted while a smile. We have complimentary coffee, orange juice, donuts, and other breakfast foods available. Take them into the auditorium with you. Our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We want you to enjoy church and God!
